Alberta Cricket Association has official’s development program implemented since 2011 by Salman Khan who was president of Calgary Cricket and later on Alberta cricket. Amol Bhatt has implemented umpiring training, scheduling software in Edmonton & District Cricket League (E&DCL) and is running successfully since then. Various training seminars were conducted all across Alberta for both umpires and scorers. Examination of Cricket Canada certifications was also conducted at Edmonton, Calgary, Fort McMurray on a regular basis. Alberta has a total 88 certified officials across the province covering major cities including Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer, Fort McMurray, Grand Prairie, Medicine Hat.
Alberta is the only province in Canada having a Cricket Video Analysis program in place since 2016. This program was developed by Mr. Rushang Patel.
Development program activities include Umpiring, Scoring and Video analysis. Education seminars on a regular basis for developing cricket officials in the province is the main aspect of ACUSA.
