Official’s Development program is open to any ACUSA member who wish to become certified umpire and scorer under Cricket Canada Official’s Development Program.
The aim of these programs is to provide an official with the basic skills and knowledge to officiate a cricket match at the local league level, provincial level and national level respectively.
Scorer Level 1 | Provisional Scorer
Candidate must demonstrate practical scoring
as part of the examination.
Duration: 1.5 Hours |Pass mark 70%
Candidates must demonstrate a reasonably good knowledge of the current MCC Laws and the ICC Playing Conditions for limited overs matches as they concern scorers.
Scorer Level 2 | Qualified Scorer
Candidates are expected to pass Parts A, B and C.
Duration: 2.5 Hours | Pass mark 75%.
Candidates must demonstrate an excellent knowledge of the MCC Laws and Test match playing conditions (Part A) and the ICC Playing Conditions for limited overs matches, including the manual Duckworth/Lewis method, Last Hour Calculation and Bonus Point calculation (Part B).
